Madelyn Rehkop, known as Peri online, is an independent contractor based in St. Louis, Missouri who's work iscan only be described as an exploration. Utilizing storytelling and narrative-driven works to uniquely express emotions and experiences. Through her art, Maddy aims to capture fleeting moments of intensity—whether it's in the light of research-based narrative work, or in the lens her unique, personal expressions of self. Taking inspiration from cartoons, manga, Indigenous artists, and visual novels to convey mysticism and story. Using mixed mediums, she aims to evoke a sense of voice and personality in each piece.

Growing up with ADHD, Maddy has had to look through unique perspectives in order to keep up with her peers. Taking to her art and music in order to process and cope with what she's described as the world spinning without her. But from where she had to fight in other areas to drive her success, her artistic lens only grew stronger. Giving her a way to look at the world that nobody else could see. Garnering her introspection, creative skills, curiosity, and hunger for knowledge.
 
The process itself is all up to what Madelyn envisions her work as. How she translates something digitally versus how she approaches physical work may in high contrast to one another. Approaching her more personal works without a preconceived plan unless by pre-conceived story or research. With most spontaneity and free-styling to come with her work being crucial to her practice. This artist's best work is measured by her ability to stretch and explore comfortably in what she loves. Hardworking, naturally gifted and passionate about her work, she is the epitome of personality, and unrushed perfection in her craft.
